corner lies the 84 islands of Ssese archipelago, some
of them have a striking beauty.

only on Bugala, Bukasa and Banda Islands.
Its adventurous journey to Bugala the main
administrative island of Ssese through Bukakata three
hours drive from the capital city Kampala. Take a ferry [with
your vehicle] and drive to Kalangala where there is a variety
of accommodation ranging low cost bandas to up market/mid
range cottages.
You need to go to Ssese Islands to chill
out, read books, relax and hang about the camps on the beach.
Walks are the major activity. For birding enthusiasts the
islands are home to a wide diversity of colorful bird life.
Turacos and an endemic Paradise Flycatcher are common. Swimming
is possible in the lake but there is bilharzia risk.
